It's been a few days since I got on my yoga mat. As I sat on the couch enjoying #selfcareSunday it hit me...
"I’ve been avoiding my yoga mat because I've been thinking it’s going to take me away from, or take up too much time in my day when I already have so much to do."
Suddenly, a voice grabbed me and said, "don’t you remember how you got this far… it was because you showed up on your yoga mat every morning!"
This voice was a gentle reminder about getting things done. To get things done, you have to make time for you. I was missing out on the magic that happens when I connect with the power greater than me. I had forgotten so quickly that the power greater than me is how I really get things done.
This great power is in each and every one of us. When I show up on my yoga mat, my energy shifts and lifts. I connect to a high vibration of energy and align with all of those vibrating with me in this wonderful playing field of energy. It's like I can feel them and they can feel me. It's that powerful, playful, purpose-filled energy that I want to the Universe to carry out, not my anxiety or unclear busy bodyness energy.
The Universe helps carry my wishes, wants and desires to where they need to go.
The questions in me connect with the answers in you and vice versa, it’s how we vibe as humans, I believe. It's hard to clearly hear God in craziness and chaos, so I’ve got to get quiet to pick up on God's vibe. The miracles we're really hoping for happen when we still our mind and our energy and listen for the cosmic intelligence that’s calling out.
So, when you find yourself avoiding your yoga mat or meditation, be mindful of a presence of disconnect, overwhelm, fears and anxiety, but remember that the way to miracles is to sit in the silence.
